New trekking in Wayanad

Jungle Park Resort, the highest luxury jungle resort in Vythiri, Wayanad, nestled at an astounding elevation of 4,300 feet. Located deep within the tropical forests of the Western Ghats, this mountaintop haven offers year-round mist, views of the Arabian Sea, and a climate that’s consistently 7°C cooler than anywhere else in Wayanad, Kerala, South India.

Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary is a unique location in the Western Ghats has ensured it gets less than 2 months of rainfall annually. The wildlife along with the deciduous trees makes it an ideal spot for trekking aficionados. Dry deciduous forests, high ranges and some grassland add to the diversity of the sanctuary. The Sanctuary is home of the Great Grizzled Squirrel (ചാമ്പൽ മലയണ്ണാൻ). Numbering less than 200, they are among the most endangered species on the planet. Another special inhabitant that can be discovered in the forests is a White Gaur (വെള്ള കാട്ടുപോത്ത്), also referred to as Manjampatti White Bison.

Al Marmoom dubai

Spanning 10 percentage of Dubai’s total area is the Al Marmoom Reserve project, the largest unfenced nature reserve in the UAE. It hosts one of the largest populations of Arabian oryx in Dubai and the highest concentration of large flamingos in the UAE. Enjoying over 40 hectares of shrub and fertile land, the desert sanctuary is home to over158 species of migratory birds, 204 species of native birds, many other endangered species and over 10sqkm of lakes, encompassing the Al Qudra Lakes. Additionally, a variety of reptile species can also be found across Al Marmoom’s different habitats.

Periyar Tiger Reserve is one of the most visited protected areas in India, bagged the title of the Best managed Tiger Reserve among 54 Tiger Reserves in the country in terms of Management Effectiveness Assessment in 2022 by National Tiger Conservation Authority. PTR falls in the Idukki, Kottayam, and Pathanamthitta districts of Kerala. The Sanctuary was brought under Project Tiger in 1978 as the 10th Tiger Reserve in the country and named Periyar Tiger Reserve. The total area of the reserve sprawls to an extend of 925 sq kms.
